Lutra Cafe & Bakery

In collaboration with West Workshop Architects who designed the overall cafe, we worked closely with Chris McLaurin to design the millwork in the space. To keep the space light and complement the colorful cabinetry we opted for a few of our lighter finishes.

At the bar, we re-sawed extra thick veneers from a single large slab of highly figured ambrosia maple we had been saving for a special occasion. Figured maple continues across the teal and coral cabinetry we built, opting for integrated edge pulls instead of hardware to maintain the monochrome aesthetic. 

In the dining room we used natural oak for the banquettes, which feature integrated bench storage and upholstery crafted by Grey Goods Studio.
