A modern kitchen renovation in a quiet cape cod style home. Project scope included a new interior architecture design, millwork, lighting, and dining furniture.
Flat panel millwork in natural white oak was used to keep the small space light and for a contrast to the dark soapstone and oxidized oak countertops. Continuous vertical grain fronts are interrupted only by turned bronze pulls. Open shelving above simple white subway tile works to keep the visual weight to a minimum.
Custom lighting in solid brass helps define the kitchen space from the dining area. Darker tones of walnut and black powder coated steel in the dining area further this differentiation.
